Abe Haji (So)
Abdurahim (Abe) Haji (Sophomore) 2nd Year Runner For MHSXC
Abe is Mather's first ever Sophomore Captain.  He is a dream XC talent.  He's talented yet humble.  He's as intellegent and as Driven as any Mather runner ever.  He ran 15:40's as a freshman and finished 5th in our varsity conference meet.  He's not a natural leader but works at it like every other facet and his leadership skills will evolve and emerge as time progresses.  This Young talent, however,  is unquestionably Mather's leader.

Marily Angel (Sr)
Marily Angel (Senior) 4th Year Runner For MHSXC
Marily is one of those "work ethic" #1 runners.  She's slowly progressed from an average freshman to a terrific senior through lots of hard work.  Marily is the kind of person most parents would want their daughter to be.  She's a terrific student, very well spoken, and respectuful.  Overall she's the perfect role model for our young girls team this year.  Her sub 21 minute 3 mile from her junior year may go into the low 19's this season as she had a monster running summer.

Michelle Arellano (Sr)
Michelle Arellano (Senior) 4th Year Runner For MHSXC
Michelle would make a great cross country coach one day.  She wants to become a History Teacher (last i'd heard) so maybe we'd be lucky enough to see her back at Mather down the road.  She's a real student of the sport.  She works super hard and takes care of the "details" better than any runner on our team.  She really strives to get the most out of herself every time out.  Michelle is also a wonderful role model and leader for the younger girls.

Tarik Estrada (Jr)
Tarik Estrada (Junior) 3rd Year Runner For MHSXC
Tarik never settles.  He sets his mind to a goal and he accomplishes it.  Last year he set his mind to be conference sophomore champ and he was.  This year its 16min flat for 3 miles...don't bet against him.  His leadership style is by example. In workouts no matter how tired he's the 1st one on the line.  His determination is contageous to our young team.
